Waves

Infra Red Rays

The frequency of these waves are higher than the frequency of micro waves & Radio Waves,TV Waves.

Heated objects emit infra red rays.

Infra red cameras are used to take the photographs in the night without light.

Used in medical field & TV remote controllers.

They have higher frequency than Radio & Television waves.
Food can be cooked quickly and efficiently without any loss in the nutritional value of the food

Carbon Cycle

During the reactions which occur in fossilization of inorganic matter in the soil.

1. Carbon is deposited the sea bed.
2. They are decomposed by anaerobic Bacteria.
3. Dead organic matter exposed to high temperature & high pressure become hydrocarbons after millions of years.

Harmful activities that affect in the C cycle

Burning of fossil fuels,adding carbonic matter like polythene, polystyrene & pesticides like Aldrin, Diaidrine, toxifine which are not biodegradable.

Metabolism

All living organisms show metabolism. All the chemical reactions taking place inside the cell is called metabolism.

1. Catabolism 

    Breaking up of molecules and releasing energy.

2. Anabolism

    Molecule synthesis together energy is absorbing in anabolic process.

Growth & Development

Growth is a fundamental characteristic common to all living organisms. It is often simply and increase in size. Non-living objects such as crystals grow by addition of new materials to their outside surface.

But it is not a real growth. Living organisms however growth from using food and the nutrition they take.

Development

Ordered sequences of progressive changes resulting increase complexity.

Living organisms have organized body structures. Each structure or activity is in a specific relationships to all other structures and activities.

Organization Levels

Movement

Some living organisms such as animals & bacteria have the ability to move from place to place that is they loco mate. This is necessary in order for them to obtain their food. Unlike other organisms such as plants which can manufacture their own food, from raw materials obtain from one place.

Nevertheless some movement of body structures can occur in plant as when a leaf grows towards sunlight and root grows towards the ground.
